The importance of an Investment Review.

Written by Connor Mullins on Feb 16th, 2024 Time to read: 3 minutes

What is your Investment Review?

We understand that circumstances can easily change. Whether that’s your employment status, income, financial goal, assets and investments or long-term plans, it’s important to address these changes and adapt accordingly.

This is where your annual Investment Review comes into play. The review helps ensure the products and investments you have are suited to your current circumstances and are helping you reach your financial goals.

By confirming information about your financial circumstances, attitude to investment risk and personal details we can review your finances, understand your needs and evaluate how best to achieve your investment goals.

Reviewing your investment needs.

Your annual Investment Review gives you the chance to examine your current situation.

You can review the investments and Pensions you hold, as well as progress towards your long-term goals. You’ll see an overview of your investments and their total value, as well as tracking how the value has changed over the last 12 months. Together, we can ensure each investment is fully set up to work towards a long-term goal.

Identifying opportunities.

During the review we’ll give you the opportunity to link your bank account or enter information about your income and expenses manually. This will allow you to build a picture of your disposable income and cash reserves, helping us establish opportunities you may be missing out on and ways you could reach your investment goals sooner.

Getting the most from our service.

As a True Potential Wealth Management client, the financial wellbeing of both you and your beneficiaries are of the utmost importance to us. That’s why if you’re a client with at least one Pension with True Potential Investments, you’ll also be asked to review your named beneficiaries. Ensuring the information we hold on record is accurate helps guarantee that you’re benefiting from our beneficiary service, designed to help pass on your financial legacy to the next generation.

Your Action Plan.

Once you complete your Investment Review, we’ll produce an Action Plan personal to your circumstances. The Action Plan lays out simple steps that, if taken, could help you reach your investment goals sooner and get the most from our service. The plan is available in your app and online account at any time.

Completing your annual Investment Review.

When your Investment Review is due, we’ll send you a letter, email and text letting you know. Completing your review is simple – just log in through your app or online account and you’ll see a banner. If you need help with completing your review by app or through your online account, we have placed helpful video tutorials below which will guide you through the process.
