What is an ISA?

An ISA is a tax efficient savings account – ISA stands for ‘individual savings account’. The main difference between an ISA and other saving accounts is that an ISA offers tax efficient growth on both interest on cash, and when it comes to income and capital gains from investments – meaning you can do more and get more for your money.

At True Potential Wealth Management, we offer Stocks & Shares ISAs. A Stocks & Shares ISA is a tax-efficient account that you can add up to £20,000 into each tax year. You won’t pay Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax on the money inside your ISA, no matter how much it grows. If you’re new to ISAs or investing, it’s worth reading our guide to choosing the right ISA.

With investing your capital is at risk. Investments can fluctuate in value, and you may get back less than you invest. ISA eligibility applies. Tax is subject to an individual’s personal circumstances, and tax rules can change at any time.
